Frequent questions and answers

What is the Primary Care Programme?

A 21- or 28-day inpatient program, including detox if needed. It offers a medically assessed treatment plan, group therapy, individual sessions, healthy eating, exercise, and a Family Programme. Patients leave with a personalized discharge plan.

  • Clothing: Shirts, sweaters, pants, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, and weather-appropriate gear.
  • Personal items: Toiletries (alcohol-free), sunscreen, towel, pocket money, chronic medication, a Bible/Qarun (optional)
  • Extras: Musical instrument (optional), alarm clock, insect repellent, and a sun hat.

Note: Please bring enough supplies for the full 28-day stay.

  • Belts, glass bottles, razors and nail varnish. All hazardous materials will be confiscated by the nursing staff.
  • No alcohol-based items will be allowed on the premises.

Yes, transport is available from VPS (Valor Psychology Services) at a charge of N$80 each way. The service is offered at your own risk. No private transport is permitted.

  • Identity card, passport, or driver’s license.
  • Medical aid card or proof of membership.

No laptops or mobile phones are allowed in Primary Care, except by arrangement. Phones will be stored and returned upon discharge.

Laundry is provided once per intake. Patients must ensure they bring 500g of washing powder for their stay.
